Current Volunteer Opportunities

Juicy Jobs

Every month TAF Academy hosts two-hour sessions during the day so that students can learn from people who are “in the field.”

Tech Start Classroom Support

Form a group of team mebers and adopt a TechStart Class! Volunteers are always needed and this is a great team building experience for your organization.

 

More Alliance Partners in Action

  • Bank of America April 2009. We are pleased to announce that Bank of America is now one of our Alliance Corporate Partners at the Megabyte Sponsorship Level due to their generous contribution for operational support for TAF's programs.
  • Google April 2009. TAF was nominated for and recieved a Google RISE award! Google's support of TAF's programs has been generous, with sponsorship for the Annual leadership Breakfast, the Google Rise Award, and volunteers at TAF academy for Juicy Jobs!
  • WASHINGTON TECHNOLOGY INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION (WTIA) – March 2009. WTIA held a Technology Leaders of Tomorrow competition for TechStart Students. Isreal Zemeadim took first place and won a scholaship for $1000 for the college of his choice!
  • SoftChoiceFebruary 2009. SoftChoice contributed funds for the Techstart Organ Kits for the spring session. TAF is pleased to consider SoftChoice as Business Alliance members at the Binary Sponsorship Level!
  • REI– October 2008. REI hosted the TAF Allaince Strategy with an awesome facility!
  • AH&T– September 2008 AH&T held their annual golf tournament in support of TAF and raised $27,884!
  • Whole Foods – September 2008. Whole Foods donated their "5% Day" to TAF in Septemebr, and TAF received almost $4000 from that day alone!
  • Weyerhaeuser– September 2008. The Weyerhaeuser Foundation presented TAF with a grant of $25,000. Karen Veitenhans presented a check to Trish at the TAF academy and shared the success with the students!
  • ADAPTIS –August 2008. The team at Adaptis worked raised money to present their three year intern, Luis Barrera, with scholarship money that was combined with TAF for the sum of $12,642! See pictures of the scholarship ceremony
  • AT&T Wireless – April 2008. AT&T Wireless announced sponsorship of our TechStart Summer Camp. For 6 weeks in summer 2008, students in grades 2 through 8 got connected with wireless technology while strengthening basic academic skills. This year, for the first time, classes were free to enrolled students thanks to the generous support of AT&T Wireless!
