About this year's TechStart Projects
During the ten-week fall term, TechStart students researched the History and Science of the Internet. Classes focused on several guiding questions:
- How will the Internet affect the way that we learn in the future?
- How "free" is the Internet?
- Is the World Wide Web truly "world-wide"?
- What is the future of the Internet?
Students explored topics relevant to their life:
- Digital Citizenship
- Online Security
- Cyber Bullying
- Search Engines
- HTML
- ...and other topics of their choosing
After completing independent research, the teacher led the students through a series of organized debates. Students were encouraged to defend their opinions and conclusions.
For their final project, each student designed a website showcasing what they learned utilizing Web 2.0 technologies on Wordpress.
A panel of judges nominated the three finalists listed below.
Online voting by the WTIA community will decide which of these amazing student will be named 2010 Technology Leader of Tomorrow!
