TAF Academy Fall college fair, a huge success

What a morning we had at TAF Academy last week! Our Fall College Fair was host to 25 college reps, who made themselves available for our students’ questions and need-to-knows about the college experience.

This was among my favorite TAF Academy moments so far. I cannot express just how impressed I was with the quality of focus and interest of our students. They asked such high quality questions that many of the reps were stumped that they were often coming from 12 and 13 yr olds.

College readiness program manager Kia Franklin led a debrief with many of the reps and student ambassadors. To the person, every rep discussed our fair being among the best they have ever been to. Many of these reps attend over 50 of such events per year. This was quite an example of the work that Principal Paul Tyler and Kia are doing making sure that our students are leading in college awareness in the district.
