TAF as an Advocate for Students, Teachers, and Educational Change
Twenty-eight years ago, we dared to believe that young people of color could create and achieve amazing things if given the right tools and opportunities with STEMbyTAF. Nearly three decades later, STEMbyTAF graduates across the nation are living the futures they envisioned.
Today, this progress is endangered by a state-wide education funding crisis. For now, and the foreseeable future, budgets at our partner schools are facing dramatic cuts, that negatively impact a foundational element of the STEMbyTAF Model – teacher training. STEMbyTAF facilitates systemic change by transforming hearts, minds, and practices of the entire school community – for the students and the teachers.

TAF@Saghalie, a school co-managed by TAF and Federal Way Public schools, is the only non-profit and school district partnership of its kind in the state.
