TAF@Saghalie Receives the 2018 School of Distinction Award

In its 12th year, The Center for Educational Effectiveness has announced the winners of the 2018 School of Distinction Award. The awards recognize schools that have demonstrated sustained improvement in performance for their students.
This is TAF@Saghalie’s 7th time winning this award – more than any other school in the Puget Sound region! TAF@Saghalie has also demonstrated a 4.9% improvement per year, more than any school within its district. Truly a reason to celebrate, for the commitment of the hard-working students, the supportive staff, and Federal Way Public Schools partnership with TAF.
The STEMbyTAF model has proven results in improved student learning and promoted equity in the classroom. TAF will now be attempting to implement the model to 60 public schools over 20 years in efforts to promote equitable learning environments to in turn, promote increased student learning and teacher development.
