 In #TAFMedia, Uncategorized

Trish Millines Dziko, Executive Director of TAF, was recently invited to share her vision for public education on the online podcast series Unleashing the Future of Work (UTFOW). Started by Tim Salau, or “Mr. Future of Work” and CEO of Guide, the podcast series ‘reaches over 220K+ Fortune 500 executives, business leaders, and start-up entrepreneurs who are interested in business, technology, and innovation and work at top companies like Microsoft, Google, Salesforce, Facebook, and Amazon.’

For almost twenty-four years, Trish has maintained her strong stance on public education. After leaving her career at Microsoft she has since committed her life to ensure students of color, and particularly Black students, are able to learn in academic environments that eliminate race-based disparities and provide the framework, through rigorous learning and supportive relationships, to prepare students for success. Trish’s leadership has built TAF into an organization that addresses the brokenness of the current public education system from all angles. TAF not only educates students, but also partners with educators, schools, and districts to ensure change occurs at every level.

In the latest UTFOW podcast installment, Trish talks about the future of public education, how Black communities can stay in-tune with and lead their students’ learning both in school and at home, discussing race and racism in school, authentic teacher relationships, measures of academic success, and more.
