The STEMbyTAF Model

The STEMbyTAF Model is not a curriculum. It is a sustained approach to instructional change and improved student learning, hinges on building strong relationships between teachers, students, and community partners while designing student-driven, relevant, learning experiences.

Students receive the tools, resources, supportive network, and 21st-century STEM education to achieve academic success. Even more, our model is designed to eliminate race-based and socioeconomic disparity so all students can thrive in healthy and safe learning environments led by educators who reflect, value, and center the learning around their identities and cultures.

Our teams of instructional coaches provide professional learning and continuous support for educators at all levels (as outlined below) who are implementing the STEMbyTAF Model. All educators who are implementing the STEMbyTAF Model also have the benefit of being a member of the STEMbyTAF Network of educators where they can engage with their peers and receive resources as needed.

We Build PBL Practitioners

There are many places educators can learn Project Based Learning (PBL), and there is a variety of ways to implement PBL. Educators in TransformED have a clear roadmap towards being PBL practitioners…..

[Malesia, this is the section that needs your touch in terms of describing the importance of mastering all the different levels of PBL. I took a quick stab at it above.]

Our Support for Educators is Unmatched

TAF not only provides professional development for educators in our TransformED schools, we provide a level of support that enables educators to become practitioners.

[Malesia, this is the section that needs your touch in terms of describing how our support is better than any other and what we do to help competency development.]
