TAF Alliance Luncheon

 In #TAFLab, #TeamTAF

In preparing students of color for success in college and life, TAF partners with many foundations, corporations and businesses. Our partners are members of a special program known as the TAF Alliance. Alliance members participate at various  levels of partnership ranging from providing our students with internships and job shadowing opportunities, to volunteering in our classrooms. Microsoft volunteers teach a computer programing class at TAF Academy and Spring Creek Group employees assist teachers in our TechStart classes. The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center provides internships where our TAF Academy students work in real labs using professional equipment to solve real problems.

To honor current members and present the program to potential partners, TAF is hosting a luncheon at the World Trade Center Seattle on February 23rd. Our spotlight member, Spring Creek Group, will help highlight  the benefits of the TAF Alliance, along with a panel of volunteers, students, alumni and board members. TAF invites directors and executives to have an impact on improving and expanding STEM education in K-12 public schools.
